St Barts beaches near Petite Saline
From Sweet Hill in Petite Saline, the closest beaches are Grande Saline, in the neighboring district to the west, and Gouverneur, on the south coast. Lorient, Grand Cul-de-Sac and Shell Beach in Gustavia are a short drive away, and Colombier can only be reached on foot or by boat.
Grande Saline (Saline Beach)
Anse de Grande Saline lies in the district just west of Petite Saline, which makes it the closest beach to Sweet Hill. It is one of the best-known beaches on the island.
Gouverneur
Anse du Gouverneur is on the south coast, between Gustavia and Grande Saline, and is also a stop on boat days from Gustavia.
Lorient and Grand Cul-de-Sac
Lorient is a long beach with shade, quieter than St-Jean. Grand Cul-de-Sac, in the northeast, is a long beach on a lagoon with facilities for water sports.
Shell Beach and Colombier
Shell Beach (Anse de Grand Galet) is in Gustavia. Anse de Colombier, in the northwest, can only be reached on foot or by boat; part of its bay belongs to the St Barthélemy nature reserve.
