Petite Saline is a quiet residential district in the center of St Barts, just east of Grande Saline. It is home to Sweet Hill, a private estate of four villas and two studios that can be rented one at a time or side by side.
Petite Saline, the quiet side of St Barts
Petite Saline belongs to the Au Vent parish, on the windward side of St Barts. Its neighbors are Grande Saline, Lorient, Morne Rouge and Gouverneur, and the district is mostly private homes on green hillsides.
Staying here means evenings away from the bustle of Gustavia and St-Jean, with two of the island’s best-known beaches, Grande Saline and Gouverneur, within a short drive. From Sweet Hill, a rental car is strongly recommended.
Sweet Hill: six houses on one estate
Sweet Hill brings together Villa Kaye (6 guests), Villa Cali (6), Villa Rosa (6), Villa Alba (4), Studio Bali (2) and Studio Piña (2): 26 guests and 13 bedrooms in all.
Every villa has its own pool and terrace. Villa Kaye, the master villa, adds a pool table and a private gym; Villa Cali has a games room with pool table and foosball. The two studios have a kitchen and a terrace looking out over the hills.
Villa Kaye can be combined with Studio Bali and Studio Piña for up to five bedrooms: ideal for grandparents, older children or friends who want their own space.
